MBC PROFILE: Montana Bible College was founded in 1987 with ties back to its predecessor, Montana Institute of the Bible. In order to more effectively fulfill its longstanding mission to train biblically and theologically grounded disciplers for the Church, in 2023, MBC took a bold step of faith and moved from Bozeman to Billings. In the move to Billings, the college established a partner relationship with the Billings Christian School (a vibrant K-12) whereby MBC and the BCS High School share a 12 acre campus and the Big Sky Christian Education Foundation now supports both BCS and MBC. We all believe we can be stronger together and make a greater impact for Christ’s kingdom locally, regionally, and beyond. MBC has very warm relationship with the church community in Billings and has established key networked relationships. New Board members have been added with additional ones in process. The campus’s dorm buildings have been renovated inside and out. The chapel building has been renovated. A long-term campus plan has been established for additional growth phases. This is an exciting time with many opportunities – a re-building and re-establishing phase. Montana Bible College is an inter-denominational college. Our core ethos is disciple-making, following the ministry model of Jesus. We see disciple-making as permeating all we do, both outside and inside the classroom; in fact, we believe our academics serves as the platform of discipleship. We seek to serve the regional church, especially, and Christ’s universal church, through participating in the great work of sending laborers into the harvest field. We train students for full-time service as pastors, missionaries, counselors, youth workers, and so on. We also have degree programs to train Christians to be salt and light in the world through business, communications, criminal justice, healthcare management, marketing, sports management, and workplace ministry. Many of our graduates serve in churches and various non-profit ministries; others are embedded as Christ’s servants in various places in the workforce and communities. Our current challenge is to re-build enrollment and financial stability in the new location. Our current president is able to finish the 2024/2025 school year. The position is considered open until filled.
