Thank you for dropping pebbles in the lake...

When I was an awkward middle-schooler at summer camp, my favorite skit was called, “Pebbles.” Its plot line was simple. A stressed camp counselor stands in the dining hall and her campers walk onto the scene one after the other. She asks each camper why she is late to dinner, and in succession they answer, “I was throwing pebbles in the lake.” The last camper to walk in is dripping wet. When the counselor asks why she is late to dinner, the punchline reply is: “I’m Pebbles!”
Being the smallest camper in my cabin had its advantages as I often got to play Pebbles! It's a goofy skit, but it’s on my mind today as I think about the ripple effect of your financial support for Montana Bible College.
Your donations are like pebbles (lowercase ‘p’) tossed in a lake.
When given, they are put toward a need like faculty wages or student enrichment activities.
Those faculty impart knowledge and those activities foster connection, impacting students.
Those students go on to impact those around them by serving their church and community during their time at MBC, and eventually in their future ministry/career after graduation.
The people our students impact go on to impact more people.
And so on…
Every gift is a pebble in the lake. Every gift makes a difference. I sure look forward to seeing that ripple effect through the generations when we get to heaven.
As we move into the year-end giving season, I thank you for considering a gift toward MBC. One way to give that makes an impact throughout the years is scheduled monthly donations. These are easy to set up online and can be given via bank transfer or credit card. You can access the MBC giving page by clicking this link. If you have any questions, please give us a call at (406) 586-3585 or reply to this email.
Thank you for considering how you may want to support MBC at this time, either monthly or with a one-time year-end gift. You are appreciated, and you help MBC equip students for effective ministry.
Joyfully Yours,
Hannah Sheely – Development Assistant
