Students who choose to cook rather than eating out are able to cut this cost in half or even more. It's up to you, but we encourage you to cook.

How to Graduate from MBC Debt-Free
PHILOSOPHY
We believe that God’s people must together help fund Biblical higher education in order to keep student cost affordable. Since MBC’s tuition only covers a portion of its operating expenses, this education is possible because God has placed generosity in the hearts of individuals, churches, and alumni who believe in the eternal value of Bible college education. These people are passing on a trust to our students because they expect God to do great things through them. We believe in helping students! The scholarship program at Montana Bible College provides funds to students whose heart for God, long-term commitment to ministry, academic performance, and financial need warrant assistance from the College. We believe in the personal responsibility of each student to plan for and be able to pay the cost of being a student. We believe that graduates should not be hindered from fulfilling the ministry to which God has called them because of college debt.
FEDERAL AID Details
MBC is a Title IV eligible college. Our students: > are eligible for scholarships only given to Title IV approved schools; > can defer loans while at MBC; receive a 1098T tax form each year MBC is in process of applying so that our students can receive Federal Pell Grants. This will also restore MBC’s ability to accept the GI Bill, which we have historically accepted until recently when the federal law changed requiring us to participate in Title IV in order to also receive the GI Bill. This approval takes months, and we will update this web page when that process is complete. MBC chooses not participate in the Federal Student Loan program. Why? MBC has a no debt policy as an institution, and we believe this is a wise way for our students to live as well. We want our students to be able to pursue ministry unhindered by debt. We have been graduating students debt-free ever since our founding! MBC is fully committed to educating students from a Biblical worldview. We are protected from Federal mandates that would conflict with our Biblical convictions via the Religious Exemption. Should this ever change, MBC would rather lose any federal funding than sacrifice our allegiance to our Lord.

Scholarships for All Students
Church Matching Scholarship
MBC anticipates that all students will apply to their home church for a scholarship to assist in managing the costs of attending college. A person’s home church is normally very supportive of ministry training for one of its own students.
Some churches have scholarship programs established, others do not yet. Either way, MBC makes available online a simple matching form for the church to fill out and accompany with their designated amount. Once MBC receives the form and scholarship amount, the college matches the amount up to $1,000 per year (a $2000 combined net to the student).
Students must enroll full time for at least 12 credits to maintain full eligibility. Students who take between 6 and 12 credits are awarded a pro-rated match corresponding to the number of credits compared to full time.
The form for your church to fill out can be accessed here.
To make it even easier for your church, you may use the Church Matching Student Initiation Form.
It gives you the option to enter the e-mail address for the person(s) at your church who need to process the form. When you submit the form, it will automatically send the e-mail. The church representative can follow the link to the form and get everything finished for you.
Needs-Based Scholarships
These scholarships are made available each year by people who believe in the mission of MBC and give financially to scholarships. Funds are distributed based on the amount available and the number and need of applicants. Award amounts are determined in a fair way based on a mathematical formula from financial information provided in the application process. All these variables mean that amounts vary! The deadline for needs-based scholarships is March 15th.
Scholarships for Returning Students
The annual due date for application for merit scholarships is March 15th.
