Two thousand years ago the apostle Paul wrote to the churches in Galatia warning them, “As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed!” (Galatians 1:9). Paul’s warning of the dangers of “another gospel” or any number of other gospels is just as pertinent today as it was in the incipient church. In an age of expressive individualism where identity is derived from a perceived psychological self, Montana Bible College stands in stark contrast by turning to Jesus as the ultimate source for human identity, worth, dignity, and purpose. This is why our Board of Directors has recently approved a Philosophy of Biblical Counseling reflecting our commitment to God and His living Word as our final source of authority. You can read our Philosophy of Biblical Counseling here.
MBC believes that the Gospel of Jesus is the answer to all of humanity’s deepest questions, struggles, and problems. Inherent in this Gospel is Jesus’s call to discipleship (Mark 8:34). Therefore, at the foundation our Philosophy of Biblical Counseling is discipleship, as we beckon others to find healing, wholeness, peace, hope, reconciliation, and rest in Jesus. We invite you to come study Biblical Counseling at Montana Bible College and grow in your love for God and others as you unpack and apply the transformative power of the Gospel.
